ppUL69 is localized in aggregates around the viral replication center upon cdk inhibition. Virus-infected cells were treated with DMSO or 20 μM Roscovitine beginning at 24 h p.i. One hour prior to fixation, cells were labeled with 10 μM bromodeoxyuridine for 30 min. Cells were washed twice and refed. At 72 h p.i., cells were fixed in 2% paraformaldehyde and processed for immunofluorescent staining with antibodies against ppUL69 and BrDU (A through F). Images were captured by confocal microscopy as described in Materials and Methods. Original magnification, ×1,000.
